Blended Family Tree Template

In short: Most templates break when a parent remarries. This one doesn't: add a second partner and their children, and the chart draws each couple's children under the right pair, showing half-siblings clearly. Mark a partnership as divorced in your notes, add step-parents and adoptive families, and print or share it free.

How to use it

  1. Start from the blended template.
  2. Select a parent → + Partner for each partnership.
  3. Add children from the right couple.
  4. Share or print.

Drawing step and half relationships

Each partnership is its own family unit, so children are linked to both of their actual parents. A step-parent appears as the partner of your parent; half-siblings share one parent with you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show adopted children?

Yes. Add them as children of their adoptive parents and note the adoption in their story. You can also add birth parents as a separate partnership.
