Your family tree

Trees you build are stored in your own browser. Imported GEDCOM files are read on your device and are never uploaded. Free share links contain the tree inside the link (after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers).

If you buy Family Plus and create a hosted link, that tree — including photos you added — is stored on our hosting provider (Vercel) under a random, unlisted address. It is not indexed by search engines. Anyone with the link can view it; only people with the edit link can change it. Write to us to delete a hosted tree.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your email and payment status, never your card number.

Analytics

We use cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) to count page views and feature use. No names or tree contents are sent.

Children

Kinbranch can be used for school projects with a parent or teacher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
