What is read from your GEDCOM
Individuals (INDI) and families (FAM) with:
- Names (given and surname)
- Sex
- Birth / christening and death / burial dates and places
- Occupation and notes
- Parent–child and partner links, including divorce
Large files
Viewing works for any size the browser can hold. Free editing covers trees up to 150 people; Family Plus edits up to 5,000. Sources, media links and custom tags are not imported yet.
Frequently asked questions
Is my GEDCOM file uploaded?
No. It is parsed by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing leaves your computer unless you create a Plus share link.
Which GEDCOM versions are supported?
GEDCOM 5.5 and 5.5.1 files from all major apps, and the core people/family records of GEDCOM 7. Export is GEDCOM 5.5.1 UTF-8.
